Well, where do i start. Its been months sinse i last uploaded some art work and this is the reason why. I have been working on this drawing of Abu Simbel on and off for just over 3 months now. I couldnt possibly tell you the amount of hours ive spent on it because i lost count. There are some areas that need re-working and more details adding to however i think i need to just put it away and come back to it a months time or so - look at it with fresh eyes.
Its slightly bigger than A1 size (took 11 scans!!) 2b, 6b, 9b, graphite sticks, paper stump and a 6b lumograph on cartridge paper.
Used around 20 ref photos from all different angles and distances so i could fit as much into the drawing as possible! So im guessing some things may be out of perspective coz i had to piece it together in my mind lol.
I am actually very proud of this, its not perfect but i love it
well theres a compliment i never recieved before. I cant take credit for the beauty of Abu Simbel though, thats down to the people who designed and built the temple.
