EDIT 2009 - 3 people that i now know of have used this drawing for a tattoo, im thrilled about that however i will be putting a watermark over it because it makes me wonder if people are using it for tattoo's what else are others doing..... ?

I love absoloutly everything about ancient egypt...infact if i wasnt an artist id probs be at uni studying egyptology.

Anyway
- eye of horus - son of Isis.
- ankh - symbol of life/eternal life
- cobra - symbol of power
- hieroglyphs - read from right to left 'th e b a z i l e i d ie H' which is of course my name Heidi elizabeth.

2B - 6B pencils.

Awsome. :D I had to do an eye of horus for a summer school art project, as an icon, but it wasn't nearly as cool as this.

I love Egyptian Mythology, and greek mythology, and hell, pretty much every type of mythology (except roman, 'cause they copied all their gods from greek mythology)

I dont like the romans! lol. Not so keen on the Greeks either...i just find the anicent egyptians so
fascinating, especially the art work and temples. In particular the Hypostyle hall in the temple of Amun-Re
at Karnak, Hatshepsuts funerary temple and the temple of RamsesII at Abu Simbel. I cant help but admire the people who built these and the artists who painted the walls of the tombs and created such beauty EG
Tutankhamuns death mask and throne.

Im rambling on now so ill shush lol, sorry.

Your lucky you got to do egyptian art in school...my teacher didnt rate it much and i ended up doing
drawings of medusa(sp?).
