Wow! My oh so amazing boyfriend one day randomly said to me, why dont we go to Egypt. Now he has no personal interest in the place but knows ive wanted to go sinse forever. Well that was 2-3 month ago and now we have a river Nile cruise booked for the 20th of january 2010 - i know thats ages away but im so excited!!
We're going to:
-Karnak temples
-Valley of the kings
-Valley of the queens
-Hatshepsuts temple
-hot air balloon ride over the valley!
-Kom ombo
-Philae
-Abu Simble
-Colossi memnon

Not bad for just 8 days eh, the price was a little steep though at £777 each! However it is a 5 star cruise and to see all of the above i think its worth it! So to pay for this once in a lifetime holiday ive been working my arse off which is why there has been no art work submitted for months. I hate not being able to draw but by the time the weekend comes around im shattered and all i wanna do is sleep. I have like 20 unfinished pieces sitting on the table...i will eventually get around to finishing them. I am working on the final sarcophagus of Tutankhamuns ive previously drawn the other 2 so im hoping to get this one finished in the next couple of weeks .

Wow, its been a year sinse i updated this thing! Thats just too long. Its funny how my gallery changes looking thru it now. At the moment im focusing on egyptian art work...not doing as many portraits, i guess i needed to move away from that for a while. Having said that though i have started a new one and got a few planned out so who knows ? depending on time and how stressed i am from work i may draw a few familiar faces.

Speaking of work - i hate how much of my time it takes up > Not to mention everyone in the building keeps saying im wasted there and need to do something with my art. I dont know what direction to take now though :S

My pencils are currently resting from the huge Abu Simbel drawing ive just completed, they deserve a break haha.

I really want to push my self with the egyptian drawings, especially focusing on sculpture so im open to suggestions if anyone has any. I want to push my boundaries but i dont want something so complex that its just impossible to draw lol. Abu Simbel has been on my list of things to draw for years, i just didnt think i had the talent or skill to even do it ! Now that i have i think im capable of doing more and really wanna see what i can do and where i need improve. So as i said above - im open to suggestions.

Anyway ive rambled on enough for now....

Hello out there fellow deviants.

Now you may have noticed i havnt uploaded any work for quite a while. Okey, so its been a couple of weeks but thats a long time for me! lol.


Anyway its just to let you know i havnt gone to mars or anything like that. The god damn computor keeps crashing even though its been "fixed" once.

So we now have an old tower, no scanner and no software to upload photos from our digicam.

As soon as i can find a way i will submit my recent works which include a colour pencil portrait of Danny Jones and drawing i have titled 'irate lords' which i am quite proud of.
So with a bit of luck i should have them uploaded by the end of the week.

In the meantime i wanna Thank all those who have given me faves over the past couple of weeks.

For now i must be going or ill be late for work.

Its taken me so long to get around to doing this. I apologise.

New ambition.

I wanna learn how to paint realistically with acrylics. This is something ive wanted to do for a very very long time and i finally think im up to the challenge.
I dont think im off to a bad start so far, and so i hope over the next 6 months to a year, or so, my paintings reach the same standard as my charcoal drawings.

Im going to try and teach myself, as i did with the two-tone paintings and drawing by reading tutorials, and studying paintings of the same style.
